My inspiration is sometimes COMICAL... :)

 I was inspired to do a shirt based on a recent conversation with a good friend of mine. We were talking about life and relationships, nothing serious, it was more casual and funny. So I said out of the blue "ugh boys are such dream killers" and we both laughed out loud. The strangest thing happened, I began putting a shirt together in my head while we were still on the phone. To make a long story short...here's the result! lol

For The Record...I'm not a "male basher", I just thought it would be cute! :)

Something a little different...

Right now, I am working on a documentary. The goal is to bridge gaps, inspire the youth, and to show my city BALTIMORE in a more positive light. We get such a bad rap because of shows like The Wire, and having such a high murder rate doesn't help either but there is so much more to this city. I know a lot of great people doing positive things, make huge strides toward success and I want to take a moment to focus on those things rather than focusing on myself. MADISEL is about Making A Difference In Someone Else's Life and while I love fashion, my passion is people!! Anything that I can do to help people become better I will go all the way because they in turn it makes me better! :)

Distressing can bring BORING old Denim to LIFE...

I love to distressed clothing is extremely tedious but the end result is AMAZING. I started doing this when I was younger but I recently perfected the art of distressing. I hate to see old clothing go to waste so I wanted to figure out a way to reuse them so I began sorting through my denim and just like that I updated my wardrobe.

My Fav Designers... Dsquared2

I absolutely love Dean and Dan Caten, they're always taking risks. These guys stay true to their brand no matter what people anyone thinks about it. I like this label a lot because no matter where I am I can always spot a Dsquared2 piece they have a signature style that no one else in the industry has. I love the way they play around with denim and mix other fabrics into their collection. The number one reason I love Dsquared2 is because the Dsquared2 woman isnt super feminine, which is exactly who I am! These guys are my biggest inspirations and the Spring 2010 collection is AMAZING!!!!
