My inspiration is sometimes COMICAL... :)

 I was inspired to do a shirt based on a recent conversation with a good friend of mine. We were talking about life and relationships, nothing serious, it was more casual and funny. So I said out of the blue "ugh boys are such dream killers" and we both laughed out loud. The strangest thing happened, I began putting a shirt together in my head while we were still on the phone. To make a long story short...here's the result! lol

For The Record...I'm not a "male basher", I just thought it would be cute! :)

Something a little different...

Right now, I am working on a documentary. The goal is to bridge gaps, inspire the youth, and to show my city BALTIMORE in a more positive light. We get such a bad rap because of shows like The Wire, and having such a high murder rate doesn't help either but there is so much more to this city. I know a lot of great people doing positive things, make huge strides toward success and I want to take a moment to focus on those things rather than focusing on myself. MADISEL is about Making A Difference In Someone Else's Life and while I love fashion, my passion is people!! Anything that I can do to help people become better I will go all the way because they in turn it makes me better! :)

Distressing can bring BORING old Denim to LIFE...

I love to distressed clothing is extremely tedious but the end result is AMAZING. I started doing this when I was younger but I recently perfected the art of distressing. I hate to see old clothing go to waste so I wanted to figure out a way to reuse them so I began sorting through my denim and just like that I updated my wardrobe.

Here are some distressed pieces I did for other people:

My Fav Designers... Dsquared2

I absolutely love Dean and Dan Caten, they're always taking risks. These guys stay true to their brand no matter what people anyone thinks about it. I like this label a lot because no matter where I am I can always spot a Dsquared2 piece they have a signature style that no one else in the industry has. I love the way they play around with denim and mix other fabrics into their collection. The number one reason I love Dsquared2 is because the Dsquared2 woman isnt super feminine, which is exactly who I am! These guys are my biggest inspirations and the Spring 2010 collection is AMAZING!!!!

Madisel is BACK! but its only the beginning...

Madisel is my first LOVE...this is where I started! I took a break but now I'm back like I never left! My goal is to become a household name I want everyone to believe in M.A.D.I.S.E.L (making a difference in someone elses life) it is what I was put here to do and I want to share it with everyone I meet. I put these emotions into my clothes I don't care for trends or "whats hot" I am my own trend! Trend me...and MADISEL!

Here's a custom hoody that I made for DJTHEKID...he wore it to the WMC (winter music conference) in Miami. He told me that Diddy said " Flyy hoody" and yes I was SUPER HYPE! lol

Spring is one of the most inspirational times of the year for me as a designer. I like to take in the beauty of the the seasons changing. Not just the weather going from cold to warm but the little things like the first blossoms on the trees and the grass becoming greener, theres something truly breathtaking as the air changes and things that bore no color at all become very bright and captivating.
